Face Of The Day.

Hellooooo, as usual, i'm constantly busy busy busy and have no time to blog as much as i wish i could! This weekend, however, i finally had a bit of time to chill out and spent it with my mum! It was lovely as we don't often get to spend quality time together because of our busy lives! Last night we went out for tapas and then for some drinks - a little too much wine was consumed, mainly by me, but we had such a laugh! This morning we went into town for a bit of a browse and a nice coffee. I did my make up super quick this morning and felt a little bit delicate after last night, but i was pleased with how it turned out so i thought i'd do a quick 'fotd' post! I didn't get a picture of my outfit but i wore a beige tunic/top, black leggings, my leather over knee flat boots, a grey blazer and my Alexander Mcqueen scarf with a quilted leather/chain strap (i wish it was actually chanel..) bag.
MAC studio fix fluid foundation nw25
MAC mineralize skin finish in medium dark
MAC mineralize skin finish in by candlelight
Bourjois blush in rose ambre

I've had such a lovely time despite the sun hiding all weekend, it was so nice to have a couple of days off work! Also my sister gets back from Marbella tonight so i'm looking forward to seeing her and hearing about what she got up to, and hopefully getting a present...hehe.
I've made her some little cupcakes to welcome her home!
Hope everyone else has enjoyed the weekend :)
Lots of love xxx

Tie-Dye Maxi Dress & Snob Lipstick.

I don't think i can call this an outfit post, as you can barely see my outfit, but you can imagine it from what you can see i think! It is a gorgeous tie-dye t-shirt maxi that i bought from New Look a couple of weeks ago. It's my favourite maxi dress that i have! The day that these photos were taken i wore it with my cropped denim jacket and that metal cuff bracelet :)
I also recently bought 'Snob' lipstick by MAC. I won't bore you with swatches as i'm sure you've all seen it before! That's what i'm wearing in these photographs though - in fact i've worn it every day since i bought it until my "Jazzed" lipstick arrived a couple of days ago and became my new favourite! I apologise for the crummy photobooth quality of the pictures - also my hair is in need of more highlights as it's starting to look a little dull!
Hope everyone is ok and having a lovely week so far, please have a look at my blog sale in the post below & get buying!

A flower, a snake & some turquoise stones

Hi girls, just thought i'd show you some snaps of the rings i bought today, i love them - and even more so as they were £2 each from Primark! I'm not really a Primark kind of girly usually but my sister needed some bikinis for her holiday to Marbella so i went with her and found these! I also got some really plain black jeweled sandals & some light couloured jeggings for summer. So all in all it was a successful little trip! I also got a fringed, tiered dress and a stripey top from H&M, which i'm a little bit in love with!
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend, i've enjoyed FINALLY having a day off, doing some shopping and seeing my friend for coffee. Having some drinks tomorrow night and hopefully booking a last minute holiday, fingers crossed!

Chanel Tattoos, Nailene & Eyeko Lilac Polish.

Hello Girlies, hope you are all enjoying this fab weather we're having! I have been working so much recently, so any time i have had off has been spent trying to relax (not very successfully) so i apologise once again for the lack of posts on here! I have so much i want to blog about but just have so little time to do it, which bothers me! I love blogging, so promise to get all the posts done in the near future!
Anyway, just a little update - a while ago myself and Boo bought some Chanel temporary tattoos, which i hadn't really tried out until last week when i decided to wear one! It attracted lots of complimentary attention & i loved wearing it, i wore it round my wrist with bracelets as well, so it was quite subtle but still something a bit different :)
I took this photo about 2 days after i first put it on, so as you can see it lasted quite well! After about 4 days it starts to peel and rub away so i had to scrub it all off to avoid looking totally trashy! What do you think?
Next little thing i wanted to share with you was these fabbby false nails by Nailene! I'm sure you know by now, if you are a regular follower of my blog, that i don't review products (other than a few little words about retro lush bubble bars which i was on a mission to try out - need to continue this!). Nailene contacted me and sent me these nails to try out, which i can honestly say i was thinking about purchasing myself after reading Milly's (pearlsandpoodles.blogspot.com) review on them a couple of months ago :)
So this was a nice little treat!
My favourite of the bunch was by far these natural looking falsies, which i have actually re-purchased for myself since being sent some.
These are the Nailene "So Natural" - short length, square shaped (although i filed them into a much rounder shape, that i feel made them look more natural - more my thing!)
It is the first time i have used false nails that have fitted my nails comfortably and nicely, and not looked obviously fake. Another thing which i was surprised at was how well they stayed on. I wore these for work (my nail varnish ALWAYS gets totally ruined at work) but they stayed on surprisingly well and didn't get in the way. Lots of people commented on how natural they looked, which i was pleased about as i'm not too keen on an obviously fake appearance! All in all i'm very impressed with these nails, and like i said i have already re-purchased them from Boot's for around £6 :)

These next ones were just white plastic nail covers which i painted with Eyeko Lilac Polish (one of my absolute faves for summer). Again i love how they fitted on my nails and the glue was fab. I filed them to get a rounder shape, as i did with the natural ones, again so they didn't look to obviously fake!
Have you tried Nailene? Do you think that you might like to?
Hope everyone is happy & well :) xxx

Fashion Week.

On Wednesday i went down to London to Graduate Fashion Week to see the gala show thanks to the lovely Emma who is the editor of the magazine i wrote for. I went down with Boo & we had such a good day, the show was absolutely amazing - hard to believe that there was such talent when they were only just graduates.
This is just a tiny super quick update post, i am so busy at the moment, but after next week i'll be back to blogging more! So much i want to post about, but just never find the time at the moment! Will also have lots more pictures from London of me, Boo, and the collections that we saw. Perhaps post some news on something new and exciting we are going to do as well. Got to love blogging secrets, hehe! Massive congratulations to Rebecca Thomson from Manchester university for winning the Gold award as well, her designs were beautiful. Congratulations to everyone else who won awards, or even 'just' had their collections shown, there wasn't one i didn't admire! It was so exciting to get my hands on the actual magazine i've written in as well, myself & Boo were like excited children when we first saw it!
Thank you again to Emma for a fab day & the opportunity to do the articles in the first place!
Hope everyone is ok xxx
